Why “Peyote Soliloquies”

It sounds cool (to me anyhow), and it is my blog.  But it’s more than that.  As poets, we ingest the world around us.  It is that consumption that supplies us with our unique takes on, well… life.  It allows for a spiritual, poetic experience that provides us our “trip.”   Everything around us is fair game, which fuels our hallucinatory state.  We see what others don’t.  Just look into our eyes.  You’ll know we’re poets.  Sometimes we even talk to ourselves, hardly recognizable.  Hence… Peyote Soliloquies.
